16 years ago I accidentally gave someone bad advice about power supplies in a computer store. For some strange reason, I can’t stop thinking about it now. I wonder whatever happened to that guy? Dude, if you’re out there, I hope you got it worked out anyway.

Relateable for sure. Mostly when trying to fall asleep, my brain goes “hey remember you did this? good job, idiot” and i’m just there like ok. but sleep please?

Fuck that just made me think of the time like five years ago where an out-of-town guy came into our pizza place and asked me (a driver) for directions to this one school on the complete opposite side of town where his son’s soccer team was playing. Five minutes after he left I realized I was thinking of a different school and the one he was actually looking for was two streets over :|

About 18 years ago a coworker left his laptop on the desk and it was beeping that the battery was low. I saw the plug from a power supply right there, so I did him a favor and plugged it in...but it beeped and went dark. I figured the battery just ran out at that time. Turns out that plug was from an old printer that we got rid of and had like 3x the amps that the laptop needed....so I managed to fry the motherboard. Oops. Point being, things happen...
